In our continuing effort to bring local politicians on the show, and get them to answer questions not justfrom us, but also from you, the listener, we have more announcements and dates to share.
This Thursday, March 31, Guelph MPP and Minister of Education Liz Sandals will be our guest for the 5:30-6 pm portion of the show. Amongst topics of interest we’ll be talking to Sandals about include the move to make tuition more affordable in last month’s provincial budget, the provincial infrastructure money being spent in Guelph, and her trials last year trying to negotiate new contracts with several teachers unions at the same time. There are actually a lot of different areas to touch on, so if you would like Sandals to answer a specific question, feel free to let us know.
Another confirmed guest for April is also an Ontario politician, Green Party leader Mike Schreiner. Schreiner will be our guest for the entire hour on our Earth Day show on April 21, and we’ll talk about all things environmental. The Paris Agreement to combat climate change, the GPO’s push to end nuclear power generation in Ontario, and the Progressive Conservatives’ embrace of the idea of climate change will be among the topics. This will be an hour long show, so we’d love lots of listener questions to ask Schreiner.
Also in the mix for April will be interviews with Ward 2 City Councillor Andy Van Hellemond, and Guelph MP Lloyd Longfield. No date yet has been set for either of those interviews, but we’ll have details as soon as we’ve confirmed things. In the meantime though, if you want to start thinking of questions for Van Hellemond and Longfield, we’ll be happy to accept them too.
Stay tuned for updates about all special guests on our Facebook page, and on our Twitter feed. And send all questions, requests and comments to adamadonaldson [at] gmail [dot] com, and scottyhertz [at] bell [dot] net.
