Open Sources Show Notes for December 31, 2020

This week on Open Sources Guelph, we’ve made it! We’re at the end of 2020!! We still have to make it to midnight, and a lot can happen between now and then, but this year is almost history, and hopefully so are most of the troubles that went with it. Before all that though, we will do what we do every year at this time, and have the annual Open Sources awards, which we still don’t have a name fore, but are very prestigious just the same. Open Sources Show Notes for December 24, 2020

It’s the end of the year, and it’s Christmas Eve, so you’ll forgive us if we don’t tuck in behind our remote microphones for this week’s edition of Open Sources Guelph. Like usual, we will fill one of our two holiday slots with the sixth annual edition of our political movies show. Open Sources Show Notes for December 17, 2020

This week on Open Sources Guelph, it’s the beginning of the end… of the pandemic. Hopefully. On this episode, we’ll talk about the politics of the vaccine roll out, and the politics of rolling back into taking climate action seriously. After that, we will talk about the man behind the tweets and the bizarre little opposite world he’s creating, and a topic you’ve long been waiting for us to tackle: hardcore pornography! Open Sources Show Notes for December 10, 2020

This week on Open Sources Guelph, we’ve got a full slate of the issues that aren’t getting a lot of attention these days. In the first half, we’ll talk about the action to undermine provincial conservation authorities, and the lack of action on homelessness in places across Canada. On top of that, we’ll consult an expert on the topic of hate groups in Canada, and we just might need to dedicate a whole show to discussing all the various under-reported facets there! Continue reading “Open Sources Show Notes for December 10, 2020”

Open Sources Show Notes for December 3, 2020

This week on Open Sources Guelph, we happily take a break from the dramedy in the United States and the insanity of Toronto barbecue joints. In this edition, we’re going to talk about the politics of requisitioning the vaccine, and the politics of the appointment of Ontario’s most important health official. After that, we’ll talk about more local matters with one of the Ward 1 City Councillors who helped make some pretty big (local) news of his own this week.
