Open Sources Show Notes for Thursday January 4, 2018

Welcome to the start of the fourth year of Open Sources Guelph, and we’re going to kick things off with a discussion of last year! Or, to be more precise, we’re going to give out our annual awards in our annual awards special. For the last two years, we’ve taken the last show and handed out awards in four categories as we each saw them, and always resulting in eight winners. Of course, “winner” is relative in some of the categories, but to kick off 2018, we will give out the proverbial hardware in all your favourite categories. Continue reading

It’s that time of year to look backwards, and rank and evaluate all the various aspects of the last 365 days. Here, Open Sources Guelph is no exception to other sites and shows, and in our final program of the year we hand out the usual awards honouring the best and worst of 2016, a year that was pathetically awful in its own right up until the bitter end. Open Sources Show Notes for Thursday December 31, 2015

We’ve reached the end of 2015, and just like in the old days on the Gang of Four, the Open Sources Guelph team will send out our first year on the air by carefully categorizing what happened in the last 365 days under four broad topics that we, for some reason, are calling awards. There’s no actual trophies, but there is lots of conversation and self-congratulating about our cleverness. Before heading out to ring in 2016, rake out 2015 with the last show of the year.
