A U.S. President gets no shortage of criticism, but the new era of social media makes a lot of that criticism immediate, unsolicited, and uncensored. Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live though, Barack Obama decided that turnabout is fair play by taking part in the semi-regular Kimmel bit “Mean Tweets” where the subject of the mean tweets reads them on air. At least the President has a sense of humour about it all.
Not bad, Mr. President. But the best Twitter-related talk show gag still goes to “Nick Offerman Reads Tweets from Young Female Celebrities” from Conan.
