Open Sources Show Notes for Thursday August 11, 2016

On this week’s episode of Open Sources Guelph we consider a name change to the show, at least through to November: “What Stupid Stuff Has Donald Trump Said This Week?” Obviously, that’s how we’ll kick off the show, but we’ll try and keep the insanity of “Cheeto Jesus” to a minimum as we look even further south to the Olympic games in Brazil, which aren’t nearly the disaster of the Trump campaign, but close. Then we’ll head out to Vancouver where one type of housing woe has replaced another, before wrapping things up with the delicate politics of Israel, and what one federal political party might have to say about them. Open Sources Show Notes for Thursday November 5, 2015

After taking a week off, Open Sources Guelph is now forced to talk about Justin Trudeau again. The new Prime Minister is “Designate” no more, and he revealed his first cabinet to an excited throng of over 3,500 people at Rideau Hall yesterday. Meanwhile, the countries going to hell in a hand cart. (Thank Justin.) Ontario’s got more than 99 problems and now has two new ones. Meanwhile, buying a house in certain parts of the country is getting more and more expensive, and money maybe having too much influence at one of Canada’s universities. Continue reading

Open Sources Show Notes for Thursday July 9, 2015

It’s time to get out on the streets and celebrate another news-filled week all distilled into one fine hour of community radio on Open Sources Guelph. For the third week in a row, we address the growing crisis for that country swimming in so much debt there’s no good options for them. The debt tour will continue to our own backyard where there’s absolutely no guarantee that there will be a return on the substantial investment into an event that’s not the Olympics, but close enough. Dead fraudsters and the self-defeating act of having a referendum to raise taxes is also on the docket as your summer vacation takes a kinds of serious turn. Continue reading
