Anonymous Threatens Bombshell on Baird for Tuesday

Earlier this summer, the hackitivst group Anonymous said that they had damning information about the “real reason” that former Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird resigned his seat and his cabinet position earlier this year. That was back at the end of July, and not much has been heard from Anonymous on the subject, which is weird considering that we’re more than a month into the election. Well, as they say, timing is everything, and a new communique from Anonymous early this morning promises that those revelations will be finally made public this week. Continue reading

Open Sources Show Notes for Thursday March 26, 2015

It seems like everyone’s getting ready for an election this week on Open Sources Guelph. Here in Canada, the Federal government is doubling down on the war with ISIS while making security the primary issue in the upcoming election. Meanwhile, south of the border, a firebrand junior senator is the first to make his play to succeed Barack Obama as President of the United States. All this, and strange monuments and stranger doings in Ontario adds up to another busy week in the news. Continue reading

Harper Shuffles Cabinet; Adams Shuffles to Liberals

It’s another busy start to the week in Ottawa as the fallout of John Baird’s sudden resignation as Foreign Affairs Minister continues to affect business as usual on Parliament Hill. Prime Minister Stephen Harper, forced to fill such an important vacancy in his cabinet, shuffled some of his key advisers into different positions. But that all important news was drowned out by party politics as a controversial member of Harper’s caucus crossed the floor to Justin Trudeau and the Liberals. Continue reading
