On this week’s show, we’ll talk about the man who loves to talk, and talk, and talk, while digging himself into deeper, and deeper, and deeper holes. After that, we’ll look at what’s going on here in Canada. In Alberta, the unification of the right is going about as well as to be expected, Sears employees are mad as hell but there’s not much they can do about it, and there’s a Facebook page with “proud” in the title that might make you feel less proud if you read it. Open Sources Show Notes for Thursday July 13, 2017

This is going to be a highly controversial week on Open Sources Guelph, geo-politically speaking. Sadly, we must dip back into Trumpland this week as the race for the title of the President’s stupidest son heated up. Meanwhile, things got pretty heated in Canada as some people thought that $10.5 million was too much to pay for being tortured in a black site, and things might really get heated if North Korea gets the bomb. Open Sources Show Notes for Thursday June 8, 2017

This week on Open Sources Guelph we go around the world! Not literally, of course, and mostly in North America and the U.K., but what we’re saying is that there are world wide implications. From someone that might be the Prime Minister of Canada if he can get his party’s leadership, to a contest to determine who the leader of the United Kingdom will be, to a guy once called the “Leader of the Free World” but seems not even remotely interested in being a leader in his own house. A couple of big, ongoing political storylines are coming to a head on this week’s Open Sources Guelph. Our favourite wildly unqualified President of the United States is been on his first field trip and making new friends (glad that he and the Pope finally buried the hatchet as seen above), and this weekend, the cliffhanger on the leadership of a major Canadian political party will finally be answered. We are happy on this week’s show to be able to talk to Rick Peterson, the bilingual maverick businessman that’s making a serious play to be the head of Canada’s blue team. On this week’s Open Sources Guelph we have to embrace the inevitable. A long-await return appearance on the show of a much discussed politician… Guelph MP Lloyd Longfield! After having to bail last minute last week, Longfield graciously offered to appear live and in-person on this Thrusday’s show to talk about the budget and other Ottawa-related stuff. Speaking of which, we’ll also discuss the government’s long-awaited plan to legalize marijuana, and while we’re on the topic of drugs, we may need to take some after we check in with Donald Trump and see what he’s been doing and saying lately.
