Open Sources Guelph wants to be true to its name, so we’d like to invite you, the reader and/or listener, to be a part of this experiment in citizen journalism. If you have information, insight, or a strong opinion on the issues of the day be they local, provincial, national, or international, we’d like to hear from you. The spirit of being an open source, is that everyone has something to offer in creating a well-informed and engaged populace, and with today’s technology, it’s now easier to get heard and let your own voice be known. How can you work with us?
On the Web:
Have a strong opinion? Any insight or analysis into breaking news from across the Royal City, Canada, or the globe? We’d love for you to post it here. There are no deadlines, no word limits, and no point of view that we consider off limits. Videos? Audio? Art work? If that’s how you express yourself, we’d love to post that too. No experience necessary, although we semi-pros may offer some direction (as/if needed). If you have an idea or a pitch, please feel free to get in touch with us at adamadonaldson [at] gmail [dot] com, or scottyhertz [at] bell [dot] net.
On the Radio:
We’re also looking to for people to join our rotating roundtable of contributors on the Open Sources show. Obviously, strong opinions are needed, an inquisitive mind, and the availability to be at CFRU between 5 and 6 pm on Thursdays. Again, no previous experience is necessary (it’s kind of CFRU’s raison d’etre), and if you have a different point of view than the two guys already on the show, that’s okay too. We love differing opinions, and we’d love for you to share them.
