As part of our ongoing effort to expand the show’s Guelph coverage, we’re going to start hosting Guelph politicians for regular half-hour segments starting this Thursday. Do you have a question for a Royal City Councillor? You should tells us about it.
Coming up this Thursday on Open Sources Guelph, we will be joined by Ward 1 City Councillor Dan Gibson from 5:30 till 6. There are some big things happening in “The Ward.” This spring and summer look to be busy with a lot of construction, and new neighbourhoods are popping up in the east end as Ward 1 is currently home to the most residential development in the city. What do Guelphites need to know about life in “The Ward”? What are Gibson’s own goals for the coming year? What would you like to ask the Ward 1 Councilllor?
Yes, we are genuinely asking. Send your questions to adamadonaldson [at] gmail [dot] com, or to scottyhertz [at] bell [dot] net. Or post them to our Facebook page, or get in touch with us on Twitter @OS_Guelph.
We will be hosting other city councillors over the coming weeks as they become available, and we’ll be asking people to submit questions to us for those councillors as well.
In other special guest news, Green Party of Ontario leader Mike Schreiner will be joining us for our Earth Day special next month. Details to follow as soon as everything’s confirmed. If you have an environmental question or topic of conversation you’d like us to address with Mr. Schreiner, feel free to ask that too.
We’re also working on interviews with Guelph MP Lloyd Longfield and MPP Liz Sandals. Watch our social media feeds and listen to the show Thursdays at 5 pm on CFRU to learn who and when for all of Open Source‘s special guests.
