This week’s Open Sources Guelph is sandwiched by change, with violence and sadness in the middle. On the outside, we’ve got a new government in Ontario that’s been sworn in and been making changes, along with a new government in Mexico that’s hoping for the same. On the inside, we’ll look at another mass shooting event in America, this time against reporters, and those allegations against our feminist PM that just won’t go away. Continue reading

Open Sources Show Notes for Thursday May 3, 2018

It’s all a waiting game on this week’s Open Sources Guelph. That writ is going to drop any minute now and we’re going to be in full-blown provincial election mode, but until then we’re going to have to stay tuned and see what everyone else is up to while they’re waiting. Maybe they can look at issues of poverty. We’re certainly going to do that, and we’re going to talk about the future of the most famous face on Ontario’s public broadcaster. Open Sources Show Notes for Thursday February 1, 2018

Oh man, we’ve got some issues this week on Open Sources Guelph, and men is the biggest one. In the first half of the show, we’ll talk about the ongoing issues of sexual harassment and assault allegations, which have now found their way to being exposed in Canadian politics and media. And yes, we’ll talk about how one of Toronto’s favourite* sons has now ingratiated himself in the drama. In the back half, we’ll discuss the latest about the pending Russian election, and we’ll look back at two tragedies from a year ago that have become largely forgotten. Continue reading
