Open Sources (Ep. #415) Show Notes for March 2, 2023

This week on Open Sources Guelph, we’re crowding the national news leaders by stealing their thunder. From our non-existent news headquarters in Ottawa, we’re going to look at the increase in use and rhetoric around unofficial border crossings, plus the new controversy around Chinese election interference. We’re also going to discuss the importation of far-right European politics (for a week anyway), and then the two old men who host this show are going to discuss Tik Tok! Open Sources (Ep. #362) Show Notes for January 27, 2022

This week on Open Sources Guelph, we’re talking about international matters, and then we will bring things back to the local. Summer is here, so tune into Open Sources Guelph this week while sitting out on the patio drinking a beer. That’s the vision that the Ontario government wants you to follow up on, or perhaps the only response to this week’s news is a good stiff drink. Anyway, we’ll be talking about the latest from the Ontario government, election moves from a pair of former Liberals, and then news from Europe on the future of Brexit, and the new parliament that the continent just elected. Open Sources Show Notes for Thursday March 28, 2019

This week on Open Sources Guelph many of our ongoing stories lines come to a head, but it’s not exactly the end of the story. We’ll look at the questions that still linger even though the Mueller Report has been delivered. We’ll cover the beginning of the Alberta election, which might be the end of one brief dynasty. Abroad, we’ll look at the exit that didn’t happen, but still might, and then a candidate in Israel’s election seems to be depending on some of that foreign interference. It’s time to get out on the streets and celebrate another news-filled week all distilled into one fine hour of community radio on Open Sources Guelph. For the third week in a row, we address the growing crisis for that country swimming in so much debt there’s no good options for them. The debt tour will continue to our own backyard where there’s absolutely no guarantee that there will be a return on the substantial investment into an event that’s not the Olympics, but close enough. Dead fraudsters and the self-defeating act of having a referendum to raise taxes is also on the docket as your summer vacation takes a kinds of serious turn.
