This week on Open Sources Guelph we work hard, but not as hard as the Ontario government, which is trying to do a year’s worth of legislating in seven week or (likely) less. And since we’re talking about provincial politics, we will head out east where there’s a new Progressive Conservative government in charge for the first time in a decade. Closer to home, we will welcome a local councillor who’s warming up her calculator app. Continue reading “Open Sources (Ep. #540) Show Notes for October 23, 2025”

Open Sources (Ep. #478) Show Notes for July 18, 2024
This week on Open Sources Guelph, it was a rough one. Looking south of the border these days is a white knuckle ride through all your fears about the future, and it’s so bad that we have to dedicate the whole first half of our show to talk about American politics. We will then look closer to home and talk to a member of our local city council about a concern that all of us have these days. You know what we’re talking about. In that context, we’re also going to talk about all the issues around that other game being played on the world stage this week, and we’re also going to talk about the national stage and the latest moves at a certain inquiry, plus the local stage with another new city councillor who’ll talk about a very big first meeting. Continue reading “Open Sources (Ep. #402) Show Notes for November 24, 2022”
Open Sources (Ep. #393) Show Notes for September 22, 2022
This week on Open Sources Guelph, we continue our journey on the election trail with another trip around the ward map. It’s been a long September (nor December like the Counting Crows song), but we’ve collected another quintet of candidates for this new episode of the show including a couple of people running Ward 2, a visitor from the west end, and a couple of runners from wards south of the river. Continue reading “Open Sources (Ep. #393) Show Notes for September 22, 2022”
